Our Story

One of my favourite things to hear from our customers is that someone has asked them, "Where did you get your nails done?!" — only for them to proudly say, "I did them myself!"

That moment is exactly why Clawture exists.

Where it started

I've always loved nails — there's something about a fresh manicure that changes how you carry yourself. And I've always loved the DIY side of it too: the idea that you don't need to depend on anyone else to feel put together.

As a Latina immigrant, I've dealt with a lot of moments of low self-esteem — moments where I didn't feel like I fit in, or didn't feel like enough. Press-on nails became one of the small things that helped. Putting on a fresh set made me feel powerful, put-together, like myself on the days I needed it most.

But I couldn't afford regular salon visits. So I leaned on press-ons — and back then, most of what I could find looked exactly like what they were: cheap. They chipped, they looked plasticky, and honestly, they didn't make me feel as powerful as I wanted to feel.

From frustration to obsession

Instead of giving up on press-ons, I got obsessed with them. I started researching materials, finishes, and techniques — what actually makes a nail look salon-made instead of store-bought. I spent months learning how professional sets are shaped, sealed, and finished, and how far off most of the affordable options really were.

That research turned into an investment of everything I had — my time, my savings, all of it — into building a brand that could deliver press-on nails good enough that no one could tell the difference. Not "good for press-ons." Just good.

Why Clawture exists

Clawture is built so that every woman who wears our nails can feel the same thing I was chasing all along: powerful, polished, and completely put-together — without needing a salon appointment, a big budget, or anyone else's help to get there.
